Artisan Style Altered Box

Hi

When I got up this morning, this box was plain wood. Granted it did have carving on it, and a little bit of brass inlay, but after painting it with black acrylic, heat embossing it with Moonglow Gold/Teal, adding flatback pearls, a handmade handle, micro beads, flowers and a few other bits, it doesn't look like the same box
The big teal coloured 'thing' is part of an old bracelet I picked up in a second hand shop yesterday and added some micro beads in black and teal
More micro beads in the corner, a little note card and one of my favourite bronze dragonflies
I lined the box with some Graphic 45 Artisan Style offcuts and made a little notebook, which I must finish when I have some white paper :-)

Thank you for looking, bye

Precious Memories Keepsake Box

Phew, it feels like I've been blogging for hours just photographing these 3 projects and putting them up here
This keepsake box measures 6¾ x 8¾ x 3½ and is decorated with Graphic 45's 'Precious Memories' collection. I've done some fussy cutting for the 2 bottom corners and the top 2 have metal filigree corners
The flower cluster has a silk rose leaf, a double bow made of ivory satin ribbon and crochet cotton. I made the little pearl spray from fishing line, seed beads and rice pearls. The cute little button was a freebie from a lovely lady on ebay who has just retired.
I've put cords in to hold the lid, it kept flopping back and I didn't want to break the hinges.
Inside are a few little things to keep bit and bobs in
There's a little box with a ribbon tie, a box envelope (about ½" deep) with a magnet closure and a resin rose, and a few handmade envelopes with labels on held together with a white binder clip (bought from Tesco's, 4 for £1)
I've also put in a little mini album, 4½ x 6½. It has a lace spine with another double bow and a button

There are 4 pocket pages with file folder photo mats. There are 2 pockets, one on the page and another

Thank you once again for looking. I hope you'll pop back again

Shabby Chic Memory Box

Hi there, another little make. Although I'm no good at all at this technique. I work much better with papers
This just a wooden box which has been painted with gesso. I've added some textures, then a little Vintage Photo distress ink
This a die cut, which I've cut twice. The first layer was gesso'd and the second layer heat embossed
I also heat embossed a paper doilie, then added a load of blooms, mostly from Sweet Lilac Flowers and a large bow
The inside is lined with paper from Prima's 'Timeless Memories' paper line

Thanks for stopping by and looking

Vintage Memories Book Box - Sold

Hallo, just sharing a book box and simple mini album made with IndigoBlu's Vintage Memories paper line
It measures 5½ x 8¾ x 3¼. I've used some guipure lace, black gimp braid, silky crush ribbon, a couple of metals and some of my favourite teal flatback pearls
The sides are actually the same colour as the top but using the flash takes some of the colour out. I love the amber coloured glass bead
Inside is a very simple mini album with the word 'Memories' on a tiny wooden heat embossed plaque
The album has 8 pocket pages, each with a blank photo mat, which can hold 34 6" x 4" photos

Thanks for looking, hope to see you again
