Shabby Chic Prima Delight Mini Album

Hallo there
I'm sharing today a shabby chic style mini using the Prima Delight paper collection. The album measures 7¼" x 9" with a 2¾" spine. The covers are heavy duty chipboard covered with black card. I've kept the front decoration very simple, just a couple of 'frantaged' die cuts, a few white flowers from Sweet Lilac and a pale green satin bow.
The spine has been covered in ivory cotton lace with a bronze ring brad, lots of lace and ribbon and a crochet style flower with a white button as a centre.
Inside both the back and front covers there is a double pocket with a small card and a tag
All four pocket pages are the same basic design with a journalling spot and a side pocket containing a large photo mat which is cut from textured heavy weight card. I have stuck a small circle cut from the design paper to the edge for a little stability

Page 2 has a flip up triple mat held closed with a magnet
Inside each of the large flaps is either a pocket or belly band with large spaces for photos
I have also added quite a few handmade envelopes, made with the design paper, to hold memorabilia as required.
Each page is decorated slightly differently, on this one I used a Tim Holtz distressed doily die cut and a little chipboard ticket shaped chipboard which I covered with design paper and added the word 'Dreams' in gold.
All the little tiny words in gold are cut using the Tattered Lace 'Dreamy Words' set. The tags are cut using the Elizabeth Craft 'Tags & More' set 1 - Lace
I've also used the Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Labels 4'
A lot of the little journalling spots on the page corners are cut aparts from the paper collection glued just on 2 sides so that things can be slipped in behind them

The album is also on my 'For Sale' page if you are interested

Thank you for looking and have a lovely day

Graphic 45 Artisan Style 'Dream' Mini Album - Sold

Hi there

This album has taken some time to finish as I sort of ran out of steam, but I think it's been worth putting it away then coming back to it.
The chipboard album was first covered in cream card then the design paper was layered on to black card and stitched borders added
The word Dream is a Tonic die from the 'Inspirations Sentiments' set.
The spine has a ring brad with a chain tassel and a black satin bow. At the base is a small die cut made from another of the Tonic dies which has been cut apart and a HUGE bit of bling
The back also has a a piece from one of the Tonic dies with my little label stuck to it. The braid trim is a vintage piece of gimp braid bought from a charity shop
Inside the front cover is a pocket with a tag made using an Elizabeth Craft 'Tags & More' die and a little envelope
I tried some serious fussy cutting on this flap & pocket page. I really envy Anne Ronstadt her ability to fussy cut, I wish were only half as good. All the designer papers were stitched on to the black mats before sticking on to the pages.
Two pockets and another Elizabeth Craft Tag

This is an idea of what the inserts look like. The colours haven't come out as vibrant as they are in real life, I think the best word for this album is decadent
More flaps, the one on the left is held closed with magnets, the right hand one is tied with white cord through eyelets. Lots of little die cuts on the pages, love the dragonflies! I didn't put any bulky embellishments like flowers in this album, they seemed superfluous to requirements
The left hand page has a little notebook held shut with a magnet flap
The right has pockets and another Elizabeth Craft tag, I love these
Although I love the look of waterfalls once they're done, I hate making them. I'm really bad at getting them straight.
The bottom flap is closed with magnets behind the label die cut
which folds down to open a gatefold

which opens to reveal a large photo mat with a vertical pocket on each of the 'doors'
The final page has a full page flap held closed with a magnet. This holds in place a card.
The card slides inside a full width belly band then folds over the front flap to secure
The inside of the back cover matches the inside front

With another tag and envelope

This album has been put up for auction on ebay.co.uk

Thank you for looking and I hope to see you again

Prima Marketing Delight Memory Box

Hallo, another little memory box, this time a book box
This one is for a little girl called Grace who arrived about 4 weeks ago. The front has designer paper and a little banner picked out with glossy accents. It says 'Delight in the Little Things' There is a paper doily (which you probably can't see) some cheese cloth, some roses and blooms from Sweet Lilac Flowers, some flowers which I made from hot glue and a silicon mould then dusted them with mica powder. The picture is a cut apart from the paper collection which I've edged down one side with the same white lace that I made the bow from. There are a few tiny white pearls dotted about and one large one on the bow knot
Inside I've made some plain white envelopes and stuck a cut apart on each one as a label. There are 2 different sizes so 2 different bundles.
The box is also lined with designer paper

Thanks for looking, I hope to see you again soon

Tim Holtz Wallflower Memory Box

Hi there, I've just finished a couple of little projects. I'm calling them memory boxes. Although I've seen quite a few online, they're always empty, and as you may know, I think boxes should always have something in them
This one was made from an old recipe card box, painted black and covered with the Wallpaper collection from Tim Holtz. I've used a few metals from my stash and a couple of chipboard elements from Graphic 45 and Prima.
I used a couple of grungeboard hinge elements, heat embossed in gold, a leafy flourish (can't remember which die it was) embossed in green and some lovely brown lace with sequins and beads

There are a few blossoms and a couple of gardenias from Sweet Lilac Flowers, a handmade stick pin, a string of pearls looped and a piece of cheesecloth for the corner embellishment.
Inside it's quite crowded, but I think I've left a bit of room to add more stuff
There is a small twine bound notebook with a chipboard cover, a couple of pockets made from the designer paper, some file folders made from manilla, and a little batch of envelopes, made on my envelope punch board using designer paper
I also included an empty box. This was an idea I got from my niece Chloe who said she had kept her husband Rich's tie from their wedding. Got me thinking that maybe another box might be good idea inside a memory box.

Well, thank you for popping in and looking

Mums 80th Birthday Card

Hi
My lovely mum will be 80 on Thursday and I've made this 'card in a box' for her
I used the First Edition Botanical Notes paper pad. It has a lot of flowers, birds and butterflies. The pad has textured, foiled and pearlised papers as well as pretty prints. The heavy chipboard box was covered with kraft paper, then panels of pastel green card layered with the designer paper. It has a magnetic closure. I've added some guipure lace, white half pearls, a Tim Holtz grungeboard element which has been heat embossed.
The corner decoration has some cheese cloth, some May Arts silky crush ribbon, Sweet Lilac Flowers roses, a HUGE bronze butterfly, a white heat embossed rose made from air dry clay and a couple of tiny white lucite flowers.
The inside of the box is lined with a lattice foiled paper and the box corners have some bent metal filigree elements for decoration
Inside is a tiny twine bound book which is held closed with seam binding. The '80' is heat embossed chipboard. The cover paper is a lovely linen textured paper with botanical images and there are a couple of layers of lace down the spine, with a bronze dragonfly hanging from the twine
The book has metal corners and 4 envelope pages with a tiny birthday card in each pocket

Thanks for looking

Times Nouveau Book in a Box

This is a little something I've just finished using Graphic 45's Times Nouveau Collectors Edition. It's another old hardback book, this time covered in cream card. The lovely clock is a chipboard embellishment from the collection which has been glossy accented. I've used a Spellbinders die on pale green pearlised card for the corners and behind the clock. The flowers are from Sweet Lilac Flowers
All the sides and the base have been covered with design paper layered on to the green pearlised paper, and there's a chipboard button with a lace bow on the front edge
I've popped a little twine bound envelope mini inside, I think all boxes should have a little surprise inside, don't you?
There are 3 double pages, all plain but covered with the design paper and each page has a little photo mat. At a pinch the album could hold 26 5"x3" photos

That's all for now, thanks for popping in

Indigoblu Emporium of Curiosities Mini Album

Before I started this album I had absolutely no idea what I was going to do with such ornate papers. Like the Steampunk Botanica they didn't need much embellishment but showing them off to their best advantage, that was going to be a challenge
For the basic construction of the album I recycled an old hardback book cover, the corners were all bent so I cut them down to 6½" square and added a 2" spine and the pages are envelopes I made from kraft paper. This was covered in kraft paper then the design paper was matted on to black card and attached over some red satin ribbon which formed the closure The doily is a pre-cut from Dovecraft, the metals from my stash and the flowers are from Sweet Lilac Flowers. The corner punch is a lip shape and it says it's made by Craftstoo
The spine was also matted onto black card. For the charm I used some parts of a necklace I found for 25p(!) in a local charity shop and hung them from some gorgeous gourd shaped safety pins attached to a jump ring. The heat embossing is done with a Stempelglede stamp and Stampendous pearlised ruby embossing powder
Inside the front cover is a plain pocket with a small booklet. Honestly, these papers are so beautiful and complex that you need hardly any embellishments. Page 2 is a magnetic flap concealing a photo mat pocket. All the photo mats in the pocket pages are 5½" square. There are 3 tiny roses in the corner which have been slightly altered with Frantage Embossing Enamel in Shabby White ( a lovely off white with flecks of gold)
Page 3 has a magnetic 3 flap insert which also lifts off the page to reveal a full page photo mat
And page 4 is another envelope page with a magnetic flap. I have used a spellbinders corner flourish die cut on the point with some teal half pearls and a bronze butterfly from my stash
Pages 5 and 6 are both simple pocket pages, one edged with some black lace from my stash All the photo mats are made from kraft card

On page 7 I mounted design paper onto black card then fussy cut round the typewriter and postcards. I then glued down the 2 outside edges onto the decorated page to form a pocket to slip the small booklet into
Page 8 is a pocket page with a triangular opening and a little tag glued on the 2 outside edges to hold another small tag with a miniature rose from Sweet Lilac Flowers
On page 9 is a small pocket type envelope made from kraft. The flap is held down with a butterfly punchie on a brad. It's glued down on 3 sides to leave room behind to put a tag.
Inside the back cover is a corner pocket holding a tiny notebook with another Spellbinders corner flourish which has been heat embossed with Stampendous Ruby embossing powder

This album was so easy to make because the papers were stunning, it's what makes papercrafting an absolute pleasure, so thanks to IndigoBlu and thanks to you for looking
